Geneva(IP): The ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations in Geneva and the head of the Social Forum of the United Nations Human Rights Council said that the lifting of sanctions will help the development of science, and technology and build a better world.

Iran PressEurope:  According to Iran Press, "Ali Bahreini", the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations in Geneva, who is also the head of the United Nations Human Rights Council's social forum, added on Thursday in his speech at the president of this forum: "Corona Pandemic and The bitter experiences of the lack of cooperation and solidarity for everyone to have equal access to what they needed to deal with it have made independent countries face the moral question that if the world faces a crisis similar to Corona, will they face the same challenges again? "

"Ali Bahreini" ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations in Geneva stated: "If the barriers to the transfer of technologies and their exploitation by all countries are removed, technologies, sciences and innovations can help build a better world."

Emphasizing the importance of countries' capacity to develop and participate in building a better world, Iran's ambassador to Geneva added: " If there are no colonial policies and restrictive national laws that are imposed on other countries extraterritorially, all countries can develop their countries and the capacity of each country can be a complementary link for the development of the whole world."

Bahraini further stated: "Technology centered on women and youth can also create a better future for everyone."

The 15th session of the Human Rights Council Social Forum 2023 started on Thursday at the Human Rights Council in Geneva, under the chairmanship of Ali Bahreini, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In this 2-day meeting, more than 60 participants, including high-ranking officials, diplomats, and non-governmental organizations, will discuss the topic of "the role of science, technology and innovation in the promotion of human rights, especially during the recovery period from the Corona pandemic" in the form of various experts' meetings.
