Iran Press/ America: The festival, a two-day event, was attended by about 50,000 people. And it is not clear what motivated the audience.
Houston Fire Chief Samuel Fania said at a news conference: "The crowd started to squeeze towards the front of the stage, and it caused panic and injuries for many. People started falling, losing consciousness, and that created another panic. 17 people were evacuated to hospitals, including 11 who were stunned, and dozens of people were injured."
In a video posted on social media, the artist who performed, Travis Scott, could be seen stopping the show, asking for help from a person in the audience: “Call security, for someone to help quickly.”
