Iran Press/ Iran News: Major-General Hossein Salami sent a message of congratulations to the Commander in Chief of Iran’s Army Major-General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi on the occasion of Iran's Army Day and highlighted the significant role of Army forces.
Salami said Army is confronting the threats of enemies and maintaining sustainable security of the country’s air, ground, and sea borders, adding Iran's Armed Forces have definitely doubled the authority and the shining elegance of Iran in the world.
In the message, Major-General Salami described Army and IRGC as the solid fort of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the global hegemony.
April 17 in the Iranian calendar, has been named ‘Army Day’ at the initiative of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini.
