Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking with a group of women to hold Arabeen rituals with Mawakib on August 17, 2023, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said: The most important duty of women is to be a mother and protect the family because the family is the main pillar of the family, of course, not in the sense that they should not be present in the society.
He added: Arbaeen is intertwined with our beliefs, revolution, and culture, so the enemy has abandoned military action, terror, or war and intends to harm us through soft war.
He concluded that our deterrence power disappointed enemies, so they tried to hurt us via soft war.
The Mawakib (Plural of Mawkib) is a key medium through which the governance of the Arbaeen rituals operates. Along the road to Karbala, thousands of Mawakibs are organized to provide pilgrims with a wide range of free services, including food, beverage, lodging, religious training, medical services, free international phone call, and almost everything one may need on his path toward Karbala. The central idea regarding Mawkib is that people partake in both the pilgrimage as well as serving of devotees.
