Iran News: Seyyed Abbas Araghchi met and conferred with Bruno Wonder Plovim on the fate of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Tuesday night in Brussels, where he emphasized that Europe and the other committed countries should be able to secure the necessary mechanisms to provide for Iran's economic interests as soon as possible, Iran Press News Agency Reported.
The Belgian official, for his part, highlighted the continuing commitment of the country and other European partners to defending the JCPOA and its credibility, noting that the Iran nuclear deal was very much important to international peace and security.
Bruno Wonder Plovim said that Europe was trying to maintain the JCPOA, adding that there was no alternative to the deal.
He expressed the hope that the necessary mechanisms to preserve the Iran nuclear deal would be created soon.
Earlier on November 26, Araghchi who was one of top nuclear negotiators during tough talks on the JCPOA, told a seminar on peaceful nuclear cooperation between Iran and the European Union in Brussels that the JCPOA was an important achievement both to Iran and the EU.

He said Iran fully abides by its obligations under this agreement but the European partners have failed to safeguard "our economic interests."
The U.S. withdrawal was met with worldwide criticism, particularly by other signatories to the international agreement. Britain, France, Russia, China, Germany and the European Union have stressed their compliance with the deal and their support for its proper implementation.
Accordingly, Iran and Europe have begun talks to maintain the deal in recent weeks with Europe pledging to ensure Iran's benefits for the country to be able to remain a party to the deal and to counter the U.S.-led pressure campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran. 206/103
