Iran Press/Middle East: In his second stop in a regional tour, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs َAbbas Araghchi met with Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah in Kuwait on Monday.

According to Iran Press report, the Iranian diplomat underlined Iran’s policy of establishing peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region, and reiterated that “the US sanctions regime has put the security of the whole region in jeopardy and regional countries should be aware of this threat.”
"Security is an integrated and inseparable concept that covers political and economic areas simultaneously," deputy foreign minister Araghchi mentioned.
Recalling Iran's responsible approach towards regional events, Araghchi stated that "Holding talks with regional countries has been one of Iran’s priorities and we seek constructive negotiations with regional countries".
For his part, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, underscored the necessity of holding talks and meetings among regional countries to overcome the crises.
Araghchi embarked on a three-leg regional tour to Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar, on Sunday to hold intensive political talks on bilateral and regional issues.
His visits are in line with the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s agenda to hold intensive diplomatic talks and political consultations with regional leaders.
On his first stop on Oman, Iranian deputy FM met Yusuf Bin Alawi, Oman's FM in Muscat to discuss latest events in the region. Underscoring peace and security in the Persian Gulf region, Araghchi warned about destructive policies of US and some of its allies in the region.
In his visit to the Sultanate, the Iranian deputy FM also met Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the king of Oman. He also rejected rumors about any direct or indirect talks with American officials, reported Omani media.
Iranian Foreign Minister said Iran's stance is based on an approach seeking peace, stability, and progress for all countries; adding that "The US should put an end to this situation, and the rest of the world should be aware that if they want to enjoy peace, they should make sure that the Iranian people are benefiting under the nuclear deal".
After visiting Oman and Kuwait, Araghchi is due to travel to another Persian Gulf region country, Qatar. 203
