IRGC's Beit-ol-Moghaddas force in Kurdistan province in western Iran has issued a statement saying two local Basij (volunteer) forces have been martyred in the village of Zhivar near the town of SarvAbad in Kurdistan province.

Iran news/ According to an Iran Press report, the public relations department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Beit-ol-Moghaddas forces in Kurdistan province issued a statement on Thursday, saying two local Basij (volunteer) forces were shot and martyred in armed clashes with anti-revolutionary militants.

The exchange of fire happened in a mountainous region, known as "Kouhsalaan mountains", close to the  village of Zhivar near the town of SarvAbad in the western Iranian province of Kurdistan.

According to the IRGC statement, the martyred Basij forces fired shots at the militants, and it is possible that a number of militants may have been either killed or injured in this incident.

Earlier on 16 October, 14 Iranian security personnel including Revolutionary Guards were kidnapped on the border with Pakistan last Tuesday. The incident happened about 50 kilometers from the town of MirJaveh in Balouchestan of southeastern Iran, very close to the border with Pakistan.

Jeish al-Adl terrorist group, which is based in Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for the abductions.

Meanwhile, the top commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari warned the kidnappers of 'a crushing response'.
