Iran Press/ Iran news: Sarakhs Special Economic Zone is located near the zero point on the Iran-Turkmenistan border and 185 km northeast of Mashhad. The region is one of the important zones of foreign trade and transit of Iran, especially with the countries of Central Asia.
Hassan Nouri-Zadeh, the governor of Sarakhs said: Kaltsas Dimitrios, ambassador of Belarus, visited the facilities, and goods transshipment.
He added: Due to the significant capabilities of Belarus in agricultural equipment and tractor manufacturing, the two sides' cooperation in Sarakhs can prepare grounds for the investors.
"Since Belarus is currently under sanctions, it can operate in Fern without worrying about additional sanctions," he added.
Last year, foreign companies and holdings from China, Russia, Turkey, UAE, and Afghanistan invested 90 million dollars in Sarakhs Special Economic Zone, the governor said.
