Rome (IP) – While Alitalia Airline is going bankrupt, hundreds of its employees gathered in the center of Rome to show their protest.

Iran PressEurope: Employees of Alitalia Airline are against the staff dismissal, and a large number of pilots and flight attendants took part in the protest.

The European Union has suggested a plan, and accordingly, a smaller airline company called “Ita” would be established while “Alitalia” is about to be shut down.

According to experts, out of 11,000 employees, 7,500 Alitalia's staff will lose their jobs.

Alitalia’s staff call the top managers' performance in the last 20 years accountable for the bankruptcy.

Protesters also showed their dissatisfaction regarding Italy’s government, especially Prime Minister Mario Draghi, about the future of Alitalia Airline.
