Iran’s Ali Rezaei claimed the gold medal in the 74 kg category at the World Junior Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain.

Iran PressEurope:  Rezaei dominated his way to the final, defeating Brazil’s Paulo Goncalves 10-0, Romania’s Gigi Sabetirica 12-1, and Austria’s Mukhamad Bektemirov 17-10. In the semifinals, he beat Japan’s Shingo Ando 10-0. In the final, Rezaei secured a gold medal with a 3-3 draw against the USA’s Ladarrion Lockett, winning on tiebreak criteria.

Ebrahim Khavari Earns Silver

Ebrahim Khavari, competing in the 61 kg class, secured silver after defeating opponents from Puerto Rico, India, Switzerland, and Kazakhstan. He fell in the final to Japan’s Masanosuke Ono, ending with a 10-0 score.

Abolfazl Rahmani Takes Bronze

In the 86 kg category, Abolfazl Rahmani earned bronze after defeating Italy's Gabriele Nicolini 6-2. Rahmani had earlier won against opponents from Hungary, South Korea, and Mongolia, but lost in the semifinals to Russia’s Ibragim Kadiev.
