In the statement, Algeria condemned the massacring of Palestinians by the Zionist regime.
The statement by Algeria's Foreign Ministry says: "Israeli military forces attack on defenseless Palestinians in Gaza Strip is a blatant violation of international laws and norms".
The Algerian Foreign Ministry expressed sympathy with the Palestinians.
Algeria will support Palestinians in their legitimate fight to retake occupied territories, the statement added.
During peaceful protests held by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip last Friday, Israeli military forces killed 16 Palestinians, most of them under 16 years of age, injuring a further 1,500 others. None of the Palestinian protesters were armed.
