Iran Press/ Middle East: The Palestinian man was martyred near the town of Nilin, west of Ramallah, the ministry said, as cited by AFP.
The Zionist regime claims he had intended to attack by throwing stones at Israeli forces, cars driving on a nearby road.
A picture released by the military showed a car with its windshield smashed by a large rock. It did not say whether the driver had been injured.
Local residents identified the man as Sufian al-Khawaja. Reuters said he was 32 years old.
Official Palestinian news agency Wafa said the Israeli army prevented an ambulance from taking him to a hospital.
