Tehran (IP) – The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) on Tuesday said 60 percent of the country’s gas stations have been connected to the smart fuel system one day after a disruption.

Iran PressIran news: Jafar Salari-Nassab added all gas stations were fixed manually at the first stage by Monday night and fuels were supplied at nonsubsidized prices.

At the second stage, he continued, more than 800 teams have been dispatched to four corners of the country to fix the problem, expressing hope that over 90 percent of the filling stations will be reconnected to the system by Tuesday midnight and fuels are offered at subsidized prices.

The CEO of NIOPDC scotched the rumors about increasing the fuel prices and making a change in the rationing system.

Earlier, Salari-Nassab said a technical glitch caused by enemies’ conspiracy hit the country’s gas stations on Monday morning.
