Iran Press/Iran news: The third round of 'International Halal Industry Exhibition' which is the only exhibition of Halal protein products in the Middle East and the World, was held at the permanent venue of international exhibitions in Tehran.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition started on Tuesday morning at 11 AM with the attendance of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and also heads of related forums and associations.
The main goal of this exhibition which has 3 major parts including production, packaging, distribution and sales is to meet the needs of Muslim countries through providing Halal products especially in the Middle East, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eastern Europe with a population of around 450 million people.
The volume of trade in the Halal industry worldwide is 3700 billion dollars. Despite the 2 billion population of Muslims around the world, over 80 percent of the Halal products are produced in non-Muslim countries.
Therefore, it seems that holding this exhibition in Tehran can pave the way for strengthening and expanding trade in this field in Muslim countries.
