Iran Press/ Iran news: The 10-storey Metropol Building that was under construction partially collapsed on May 23 in the city of Abadan in Khuzestan province.
Faulty construction practices have been blamed for the collapse of the building. So-far 41 bodies have been recovered. Rescue operation is still ongoing as more people are feared to have been trapped under the rubble.
In his weekly press conference on Tuesday, Masoud Setayeshi said 14 individuals suspected of contributing to violations that led to the Metropole tragedy were arrested with proportionate incitements.
Four former Mayors of Abadan are arrested, and officials with the city's Construction Engineering Organization are among those detained.
