Volodymyr Zelensky is someone whose name is widely heard in the media these days. In the past, we heard his name more in TV programs and shows, but this name has entered the political arena today, and it is no longer possible to call him the politician who playing with the background of a TV showman.

Iran PressEurope: Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian President believes that like World War II, the West would suppress Russia and he would shape a future for Ukraine alongside other Western countries.

The 44-year-old Ukrainian President had no political experience when he ran for President in 2019.

Born in 1978 in Russian-speaking Kryvyi Rih, a major (and heavily polluted) iron-mining town in southeast Ukraine, he is the son of a computer science professor and an engineer.

His grandfather and three great-uncles fought in the Soviet army against the Nazis, with only his grandfather surviving. His great-grandfather and other relatives were murdered in WWII.

A comic election

Volodymyr Zelensky was elected President in 2019, defeating the incumbent Petro Poroshenko by casting himself as an anti-establishment outsider bent on cleaning up corruption and securing better relations with Moscow.

His pitch was largely based on the role he played on his TV show, where he portrayed an ordinary man thrown into the presidency to clean up the country. Even his political party, "Servant of the People," was named after the show.

Since the Russi - Ukraine conflict began on February 24, Zelensky has captured the world's imagination, often dressing in ballistic vests as he urges people to press the fight during videos he posts to Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram from the center of Kyiv.

At other times, he has harangued Western leaders to step up their sanctions against Russia.

Zelensky insists that neither he nor his family will leave the country. He is also growing frustrated with the West's unwillingness to intervene militarily.

On March 6, he again urged Western leaders to reconsider their decision against enforcing a "No-Fly" zone over Ukraine after saying Russian missiles had destroyed an airbase in Vinnytsia in central Ukraine.

But this time, it seems that the Western world has other intentions, starting the war in Ukraine.

Westerners exploit the war by beating the drums of fiery wars to kill more Ukrainians and utilizing Zelensky.

From stand-up in shows to Standing up to Putin

Zelensky's opposition to Russia was building before the conflict began. In February of last year, he took a stand against Putin by shutting down the television channels Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian oligarch, to push a pro-Kremlin narrative about the Donbas.

End of the political honeymoon

n April, with Putin building up his military along Ukraine's borders, Zelensky asked Nato for Ukraine to be admitted quickly. In November, he accused another oligarch, Rinat Akhmetov, of collaborating with Russia to stage a coup.

But as Zelensky refuses to leave his capital and continues to rally his country in its existential struggle, that scandal likely will become a minor footnote in Z's story.

'Z' stories

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky describes himself as Russia's "target number one when he announced that he is at the head of the Kremlin's kill-or-capture list say that the giant "Z" letter on Russian forces equipment would seem to confirm that toppling Zelensky is first and foremost on Vladimir Putin's otherwise unreadable mind.

Heading into battle in Ukraine, Russian forces mark their equipment with a single letter signifying their objective. There have been different interpretations of the letter "Z" being used on Russian vehicles – one is that it represents the first letter of "Za pobedy," which means "For victory" in Russian.

Although he calls himself "Zelensky," it seems that by clinging to the most unfaithful military alliance (NATO), this time he put the country in Catch-22, and his name will become a warmonger. Because today the word "Z" refers more to belligerence than its Ukrainian and Russian meaning.

Zelenski's saber-rattling has led us to call him «Z» elinsinki today instead of calling him Zelensky. So it seems that the war in Ukraine will turn into a Pogrom. The pogrom will be registered in Zelenski's name, and he may, God forbid, be the last person to experience the Gulag.

"The more Ukrainians killed, the more satisfied the West will be," this is what goes on in the minds of Western leaders.
