Tehran (IP) – Standing deep within one of Iran’s newly unveiled underground missile cities, Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), warned that Iran would respond to any missteps with precision and decisiveness, asserting, “We act on time and at the proper level.”

Iran Press/Iran news: The IRGC showcased its subterranean arsenal in a highly publicized visit, with Salami lauding the advanced readiness of Iran’s missile systems and reiterating the nation’s resolve to counter any aggression.

The IRGC’s missile city, a symbol of decades-long investment in indigenous military capabilities, was presented as a testament to Iran’s self-reliant defense doctrine. Salami highlighted the advancements in missile production, noting the continuous increase in quantity, precision, and destructive power.

Speaking to personnel from the IRGC Aerospace Force, Salami emphasized Iran’s growing self-reliance and readiness to counter threats.

Salami declared that Iran’s missile program continues to advance at an accelerated pace. “The growth rate of our missile power is updated. Every day, [our] missiles are witnessing growth in terms of quantity, quality, capability, and design,” he stated. Dismissing claims that Iran’s missile production has stalled, he said such assertions were rooted in “the dreams of the enemy, not realities on the ground.”

The underground facility, revealed on Saturday, is said to house various domestically manufactured missiles, underscoring Tehran’s focus on enhancing its defense infrastructure amid rising regional tensions.

In his address to IRGC personnel, Salami pointed to recent developments in the region that had been misinterpreted by Iran’s adversaries as signs of weakness. He warned against such miscalculations, saying, “We know that such judgments are the dreams of the enemy. The Islamic Republic’s political determination to counter aggression and excessive demands is decisive.”

The IRGC commander cautioned that Iran would respond to any missteps with precision and decisiveness, asserting, “We act on time and at the proper level.”

A key theme of Salami’s remarks was Iran’s independence in defending its sovereignty. “We have never relied on any power outside of the system to defend our independence, identity, credit, and power,” he noted. “Self-reliance is the principle of our doctrine in terms of strategy, operations, and tactics.”
