The deputy judiciary chief for cultural affairs, Hojjat-ol-Islam Hadi Sadeghi has said the Islamic Republic of Iran will never give up supporting oppressed people of the world, irrespective of their religion and faith.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking exclusively with Iran Press News Agency, on the sideline of a meeting held in Tehran on Saturday about the impact of Iran's Islamic revolution during the past 40 years, Hojjat-ol-Islam Hadi Sadeghi said that Islamic Republic of Iran supported the Iraqi and Syrian peoples, and Iran's assistance was crucial in defeating Daesh (ISIS) terrorists in both those countries."

Hojjat-ol-Islam Sadeghi noted that isolated pockets of insecurity still exist in parts of Iraq and Syria, but he hoped that remnants of ISIS terrorists would soon be uprooted form both countries. Commenting further Sadeghi said: "The Daesh (ISIS) terror group has a very dangerous and evil ideology, namely they want to establish a repressive and evil rule in the name of God and Islam, for the sole purpose of sullying and tarnishing Islam's reputation. God willing, remnants of ISIS terror group will soon be rooted out."

Turning to Palestine, Hojjat-ol-Islam Sadeghi said: "Right from the beginning of the Islamic revolution, we have supported the oppressed Palestinian people vis-à-vis the tyranny of the Israelis. This has been a hallmark of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Justice-seeking. We support the ideals of the Palestinian people, and although the Zionist regime has continued its cruelties and oppression of the Palestinian people, but gradually, with Iran's help, the Palestinians have achieved a string of victories against the Zionists in recent years. And lately, the Palestinians are pushing back the Zionist regime, replying in kind and giving as good as they get. The Palestinians have gained many successes in their recent confrontations with the Israelis."

Hojjat-ol-Islam Sadeghi pointedly added: "Iran's spiritual, political, scientific, technical and advisory support of the Palestinians was invaluable and instrumental in helping the Palestinians to stand on their own feet and resist against the Zionist oppression."

He continued:"In recent years Iran has helped the oppressed people of Yemen as well. Some backward countries in the region like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have carried out war crimes and atrocities in Yemen, with full support of the West. The oppressed Yemeni people, with their bare hands, have resisted the military aggression of Saudi Arabia, and this certainly would not have been possible without the Islamic republic of Iran's support for Yemen."

The deputy judiciary chief reiterated:"Enemies of the Yemeni people have admitted that the help and support of Islamic republic of Iran for the Yemeni people led to their failure in the war in Yemen. The enemies of Yemen are angry and frustrated by Iran's assistance to Yemen, and we hope that this anger and frustration increases in the future, as Martyr Beheshty used to say: America be angry at us, and die of this anger."

Hojatt-ol-Islam Sadeghi concluded by saying:"The Islamic Republic of Iran will never give up its support of the oppressed peoples of the world, irrespective of their religion and faith. We have supported oppressed peoples of other religions and faiths in the past, and we shall continue to support them in the future as well." 105/ 205/211
