4 years after Saudi invasion in Yemen, Iran calls for immediate end to bloodshed

Iran condemned the invasion of Saudi-led coalition forces in Yemen and called for an immediate end to the war and bloodshed in the country.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the invasion of Saudi-led coalition forces in Yemen, Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the offensive and called for an end to war and bloodshed in the country as soon as possible.

After four years of offensive and an unsuccessful war on the Yemeni people, as international officials and organizations have said, more than 24 million Yemenis need help and more than 15 million others are malnourished and millions of children are in danger of hunger and hunger, none of which are due to natural disasters but as the result of the war and the silence and indifference of the international community, Iran Press reported.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, in line with its principled policy of a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, and within the framework of the 4-article plan presented by the Iranian Foreign Minister at the outset of the military aggression against Yemen, supports any comprehensive and complete ceasefire and the removal of the oppressive economic and humanitarian siege of Yemeni people.

According to the statement, Iran also supports political consensus among all the Yemeni political groups that provide the people's demands.

Iran's Foreign Ministry called on the international community to support efforts to reduce the suffering of the Yemeni people, especially the children and women of that country.

Iran, by backing Stockholm's agreement, urged the beneficiary countries in the Yemeni crisis to lay the groundwork for full implementation of the agreement.

Iran hopes that the full implementation of the Stockholm agreements will be the first step for the final settlement of the Yemen crisis.104/213
