Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs said Iranian women entrepreneurs, particularly in rural areas and villages, are much more successful in running a business than men.

Iran Press/Iran news: "One of the steps taken by the government in the field of women's empowerment has been to provide an appropriate groundwork for women's entrepreneurship, especially in rural areas," Ebtekar added.

In an interview with IRNA on Wednesday, Masoumeh Ebtekar said women always act as pacemakers for entrepreneurship initiatives.

She said that for this purpose, $ 1.5 billion of sustainable employment loans have been allocated to villages, of which 42 per cent have been received by rural women entrepreneurs.

Ebtekar stated that a large number of women university graduates are looking for work, actively looking for employment. To help them find a job, the ministry of cooperatives, labor and social security, together with a number of universities have come up with a business management training and employment scheme for female university graduates.

The training program is specifically linked with business management, and women entrepreneurs who have acquired business management skills through the training program can set up their own businesses by using low-interest loans and finance which is available to them.   101/ 211 /213
