Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare said,$ 1.5 billion allocated to boost local markets to stop migration from small villages and towns to the big cities.

Iran Press/Iran News:  In an exclusive interview with Iran Press correspondent, Mohammad Shariatmadari   added, One of the social trauma in every country is the migration of people from small villages and towns to big and populated cities.

In his introduction ceremony as a new Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare,  Mohammad Shariatmadari explained about government plans to tackle problem of migration to big cities and ways of stopping this social trauma .

He said, according to the budget of the 1397 A.H. (2017-2018) and with the permission of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, $ 1.5 billion allocated from the National Development Fund to create productive employment activities in the cities with less than 10,000 people and rural places.

We recognize different field of productive enterprises which has good market with local advantages and we reflect this productive opportunity to provincial councils to reach goal of stopping harmful migrations, he added.

Today, Iranian Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare emphesized that, US sanctions against Iran's financial system won't lead to recession in the enterprises and damage Iran's economy.

On Oct. 27, the Iranian parliament approved Mohammad Shariatmadari, President Rouhani's nominee for Ministery of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare.105/205
