Iran Press/Iran news: The foreign ministry spokesman added: "As far as the Stena Impero is concerned, the release of the tanker has been finalized, but the legal aspects of the damage done to the environment and various infringements by the vessel are still being studied and the case is still open."

Mousavi wrote in his Twitter account: "With the cooperation of Iran's Judiciary, the Ports and Maritime Organisation of Iran (PMOI) and the Foreign Ministry, Stena Impero's release has been finalized. However, the legal aspects of the damage done to the environment and various infringements by the vessel are still being studied and the case is still open.
