The Venezuelan president in a meeting with Rouhani's special envoy on Saturday said that his nation continues strategic unity with Islamic Republic of Iran.

America: According to Iran Press, the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a meeting with Hojjatollah Soltani the special envoy of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, stressed cementing ties between the two sides.

"Venezuela continues its strategic unity with Iran", Nicolás Maduro emphasized. 

 

Meanwhile, the Venezuelan president called the meeting with Iran's FM aide in the American affairs "constructive". He also emphasized  the boosting Tehran-Caracas cooperation in the different fields of providing energy, technology and tourism.

Earlier on September 27, in a meeting with President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela  in New York, President Hassan Rouhani said, “The people of Iran and Venezuela have continuously been under the aggression and sanctions of the United States”, according to the official website of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rouhani also referred to the United States’ illegal and unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA, adding, “The Americans invite us for dialogue, and at the same time, are seeking to overthrow the system in Iran, thinking that if they put pressure on the people, they can achieve this goal; but they don’t know that a government that enjoys people’s support will not surrender to threat”.

“Development of relations and cooperation between independent countries like Iran and Venezuela will lead to the defeat of the enemies, serving the interests of the two nations," president Nicolas Maduro said, at the same meeting. 203/204
