IranPress- Iranian Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif holds a meeting with with Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) Mohammad Qureshi Niyaz on Tuesday 7 August 2018.
The top diplomats reviewed PUIC mission to create unity and convergence within the Muslim world.
As it has been quoted by IRNA news agency, Zarif and Mohammad Qureshi Niyaz also discussed current crises.
The Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States is composed of the parliaments of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member-states. It was established in Iran on 17 June 1999, with its head office situated in Tehran.
Iranian FM also Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif received the new ambassador of Pakistan Riffat Masood on Tuesday. Pakistan's new ambassador submitted a copy of his credentials to foreign minister Zarif.
The Iranian Top foreign ministry top official also met his North Korean counterpart Ri Yong Ho held talks in Tehran on Tuesday , to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Mohammad Javad Zarif also received ECO Secretary General, Halil Ibrahim Akca.Akca bid farewell to Foreign Minister Zarif at the end of his mission in Tehran.He is the 11th Secretary General of the ECO who started his tenure in August 2015.
