Iran Press/Europe: Mohammad Javad Zarif and UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo exchanged views on Iran-United Nations cooperation, implementation of resolution 2231, the payment system (INSTEX) that three major European countries recently announced for Iran to help the country get around US sanctions, and various international and regional issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon.
Zarif also met and held talks with Executive Director of UNICEF, Henrietta H. Fore, Iran Press reported.
Cooperation between Iran and the UN International Children's Fund was the main focus of the meeting.
Mohammad Javad Zarif also met with EU Foreign Policy Chief, Federica Mogherini, Australian Security Intelligence Organization chief Duncan Lewis, South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab.
Iranian Foreign Minister in a meeting with two former UN officials, discussed the latest regional and international developments.
Zarif held talks with former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, and also former United Nations and Arab League Special Envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi.
Robinson and Brahimi are both members of The Elders, a group of world leaders working for global peace.
On Saturday, Zarif and the head of Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC), Masrour Barzani held talks on the sideline of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
Developments of relations with Iraqi Kurdistan region in all fields, and in particular, economic and business relations were discussed at this meeting.
The Iranian foreign minister also called for establishment of a joint industrial region between the two sides. Zarif and Barzani also discussed the latest regional developments, including the situation in Syria.
Commenting on developments in Syria, Zarif urged respecting Syria's sovereignty.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in another meeting with his Armenian counterpart, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan discussed bilateral relations and the Karabakh issue.
During the meeting which was held in Munich, both sides reviewed economic relations and trade, as well as banking cooperation, and cooperation in energy and transportation sectors.
Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Germany on Friday.
Over 100 top-ranking political, security and international figures, including 35 heads of state, 50 foreign ministers and 30 defense ministers are taking part in the conference.
