Iran Press/ Asia: On Sunday, after talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the Antalya Diplomatic Forum provided an opportunity to discuss the issue of Afghanistan.
Zarif added: "At this meeting, a decision was made to form tripartite working groups on transit, security issues, illegal immigration, and drugs."
Iranian Foreign Minister added: "It was decided to cooperate for the future of Afghanistan and bring together all groups concerning the democratic system and the constitution of this country."
Zarif described the Antalya Diplomacy Forum as a good start for expanding Asian cooperation with Africa and Europe and expressed hope for a successful follow-up to the forum.
On the last day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, the first trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Iran, Turkey, and Afghanistan was held on regional issues and the pursuit of the Afghan peace process.
Zarif, who has been in Turkey since Thursday, spoke at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Mohammad Javad Zarif met Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, Croatian Foreign Minister Radman, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussain, Afghanistan chairman of the High Reconciliation Council Abdullah Abdullah, and several other senior officials participated in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
