Iran Press/Middle East: Yahya Saree, the spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces said in his recent press conference that a combination of different forces has participated in major operation of “Victory from God Almighty” in Najran, southern Saudi Arabia.
According to the Iran Press, Saree told that Missile and Air Defense units of the Yemen Army took part in the operation as well as other Infantry and Anti-Armor units.
He said that Missile units fired almost 10 rockets and missiles to different bases of Saudi led coalition and Air defense units took measures to deny the coalition's jet fighters and attack helicopters to enter the operational area and consequently, these tow unites played crucial roles in the success of the operation.
According to Yemeni sources, the codename for this operation was 'Nasr men Allah', and thousands of Saudi officers, soldiers, and military personnel have been captured as prisoners of war by the Yemeni army in the Najran operation. They stressed that the operation reveals to Saudi Arabia that the Yemeni fighters are capable of further penetrating into Saudi territories in case it continues its aggression against Yemen.
The Yemeni source also announced that more than 100 vehicles have been taken as booty by Yemeni forces and 15 armored vehicles have been destroyed in the operation.
Also, more than 2000 troops of the Saudi led coalition have been captured by Yemeni forces in which, some mercenaries from other nationalities were among them.
