World officials congratulate Raisi's victory in presidential elections

Tehran (IP) - After Ebrahim Raisi won Friday's presidential elections in Iran, many political leaders and prominent figures in the region and the world offered their congratulations on his victory.

Iran PressIran news: The final presidential elections result on Saturday showed that Ebrahim Raisi won Friday's votes by a landslide, gaining 61.95% of the total votes.

Shortly after Raisi was announced the winner by preliminary results, political leaders started to send their congratulations to Raisi on his landslide victory on Saturday.

Sultan of Oman:

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said has also congratulated Iran president-elect Ebrahim Raisi for his victory in the Friday votes.

Azerbaijan president:

Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, also congratulated the victory of Ayatollah Raisi. In his message, the Azeri president said that there are many opportunities to develop bilateral relations and regional cooperation between the two countries.

Yemeni Supreme Political Council:

President of Yemen's Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat also congratulated Ayatollah Raisi’s victory in the presidential elections in a message on Saturday.

UAE deputy speaker of parliament:

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), its Minister of Defence, and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai have also offered his congratulation on Raisi’s victory in the elections.

Iraqi Wisdom Movement leader:

In a message on Saturday, Leader of the National Wisdom Movement of Iraq Seyyed Ammar al-Hakim congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation and government on the 13th presidential elections in Iran as a democratic experience.

Armenia president:

President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to Raisi on Saturday, saying that he believes in Raeisi's ability to continue Iran's path of prosperity and progress during his tenure.

Turkey's president:

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also congratulated Raisi and wished prosperity to the Iranian people. He also said he would be pleased to visit Iran soon after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lebanese parliament speaker:

The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, sent a congratulatory message to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei on the successful holding of the elections, saying that Iran showed once again its greatness in holding elections, just as it has shown its greatness in resisting the sanctions.

Syrian President:

Syrian President Bashar Assad also congratulated Raisi on the victory and wished prosperity for Iran. Assad also praised Iran for withstanding the foreign pressures.

Iraqi PM:

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi also offered his congratulations in a message on Saturday.

Pakistani PM:

On his Twitter account, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan offered his congratulations to Ayatollah Raeisi on his victory in the 13th Iranian presidential election.

Hamas:

Head of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, addressed the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his message, saying that on behalf of Hamas. His message reads: "We in the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement in Palestine sincerely congratulate Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Revolution, and the Iranian people on the successful holding of the presidential election in which the Iranian people elected Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi as the new President."

Islamic Jihad Movement:

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement also congratulated Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi on his victory in the Iranian presidential elections.

Iraqi resistance groups:

The resistance group Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba also sent a message on Raisi's victory on Saturday.

Iraqi President:

Iraqi President Barham Salih was one of the first regional leaders who sent his congratulations to Raisi for his victory. Raisi is reported to have invited the Iraqi prime minister to visit Iran.
