Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Kazem Gharibabadi, this year, 35 candidates from 22 countries were introduced to receive this award, and in the end, Shirin Abu Aqla, for her activities for Palestinians, and Mandella Mandella, a representative of the African Legislative Assembly, became the winner of this award.
Also, in this ceremony, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, for promoting human rights literature, and Martyr Sayad Khodaei, for fighting against terrorist groups, were honored.

Emphasizing that the Declaration of Islamic Human Rights seeks to develop and explain high human values, Gharibabadi said: The West has always tried to impose its liberal values on other societies by ignoring the values of other countries, including Muslim countries.
The Secretary of Human Rights Headquarters of Iran added: Observance of human rights is one of the main challenges of human rights in the world today. Today, human dignity is subject to violation, cultural, social, and political dominance, war, embargo, destruction and environmental hazards, and poverty are among the components that have marked world peace.
Those who claim human rights do not have correct definition of neither rights, nor human beings
Speaking at the event, the head of Iran's judiciary, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, said: "Today, many human rights claimants have neither a correct definition of human, nor human rights, nor human dignity, and they just want to impose their wrong words on the whole world."
Mohseni-Eje'i emphasized the special position of human rights in Islam and all religions and said: "Humankind, with his intellect, can create a life with security for himself and others."
He added: "Today, some western officials say that you are either with us or against us, and if you are not with us, you should be under the most severe pressure, this is the logic of human rights claimants today."
"What are the human rights claimants doing with people's lives, wealth and honor today?" the head of the judiciary asked.
"Imam Hussain (PBUH) martyred to defend human dignity and values," he said, "Islam does not allow us to be inactive in front of the enemy and most of the wars in Islam are defensive."
Finally, he said: "Human rights claimants have committed many crimes under human rights, and today we see that most of them are either silent or support Israel's crimes, while they can be human rights claimants."
