Tehran (IP) - On the occasion of registering Iran's caravanserais at UNESCO World Heritage, a group exhibition of visual arts "54 World Iranian Caravanserais" was opened in the Niavaran Historical-Cultural Complex on Jan. 11, 2025.

Iran PressIran news:  Iran's centuries-old roadside inns, or caravanserais, gained UNESCO World Heritage status on September 17, 2023.

The selected 54 caravanserais "are considered to be the most influential and valuable examples of the caravanserais of Iran. They reveal a wide range of architectural styles, adaptations to climatic conditions, and construction materials spread across thousands of kilometers and built over many centuries." 

The exhibition contains more than several works of art in different fields of visual arts, including painting, photography, and handicrafts, which simultaneously introduces 54 caravanserais along with the biological characteristics and native architecture of the people. 

The exhibition will be open from January 11 to 13, 2024,  from 10:00 AM to 05:00 at Niavaran Historical-Cultural Complex.
