Iran Press/ America: Majid Takhtarvanchi, Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, tweeted on Thursday that the new US administration pretends to support multilateralism, but expresses disappointment with the International Court of Justice (ICJ)'s rejection of its objection to Iran's sanctions case.
He added: "The United States continues to violate the resolution with illegal sanctions against Iran, and this is not a good start."
Iran's foreign ministry spokesman on Wednesday announced the ruling of the International Court of Justice in the case of violations of the 1955 US-Iran friendship treaty in Hague, saying: ICJ rejects US preliminary objection and considered itself competent to hear the lawsuit against the US government, and thus the case will enter the substantive hearing.
