Iran Press/Iran news: Russian Duma Speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin said the United States is using terrorists as means to exert pressure and interfere in the affairs of the independent countries.
Expressing concern over the humanitarian situation in the areas under the control of the Western alliance in Syria, Volodin added US's geopolitical ambitions are serious barriers to the joint struggle against terrorism, Iran press reported.
Russian Duma Speaker, made the remarks on Saturday at the Second conference of parliament speakers from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey on the challenge of terrorism and inter-regional connectivity.

Volodin added that due to the US actions, the extreme tendencies led to 'colour revolutions', terrorism took more power and independent states and entire regions such as the Middle East and North Africa were damaged.
Russian Duma Speaker, also stressed that Russia confronts the US policy in creating trade barriers, sanctions and economic restrictions against other countries.
The chairman of the Russian parliament said that the prolonged settlement of humanitarian problems in Syria could lead to the growth of terrorist threats and the escalation of the asylum seekers crisis.
The Second conference of parliament speakers from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey is underway in Tehran to address the issue of counter-terrorism and the strengthening of regional partnership.
