US respect for JCPOA is Iran prerequisite for talk: FM Zarif

Iran's foreign minister has declared US respect toward 2015 nuclear deal as the prerequisite for any talk or negotiation.

Iran PressIran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in an interview with the Bernama News Channel that the prerequisite for talks with the United States is 'respect for JCPOA obligations'.

 While saying that he is going to travel to New York to attend the UN General Assembly at the end of September, Mohammad Javad Zarif added that the United States should let the UN member states participate in the international Body's activities in New York.

 "If the United States wants to negotiate, it must respect the 2015 nuclear deal and buy a ticket to return to JCPOA," the Iranian foreign minister hilighted . 

“The United States is engaged in an economic war against the Iranian people and it won’t be possible for us to engage with the US unless they stop imposing war and engaging in economic terrorism against the Iranian people,” Zarif told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ended his three-nation Asia tour on Friday and left Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for Tehran.

Discussing bilateral relations and the most important regional and international issues have been the focus of Iranian Foreign Minister's consultations with Chinese, Japanese and Malaysian officials.
