Secretary-General of the United Nations arrived at Rafah border to hold a press conference at the Egyptian side of the border, which is being shelled by the ongoing Israeli airstrikes.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The secretary-general of the United Nations arrived this morning at Al-Arish Airport, and inspected the humanitarian aid that should be delivered to the civilians of besieged Gaza.

Guterres stressed that establishment of peace, and called for the necessity of a ceasefire to bring in aid.

UN chief stated that he was shocked by the death and devastation that the National Baptist Hospital was subjected to, adding that aid, food, and medicine must get to Gaza.

Guterres reiterated that the UN is looking forward to ensuring the entry and fair distribution of aid to Palestinian citizens, stressing that Al-Arish Airport and the Rafah crossing are the two main points for the entry of aid.

The UN chief also called for a ceasefire on the basis of providing humanitarian relief and delivering aid, water, food and medicine to the Strip. He affirmed that “diseases are spreading in Gaza and people are suffering and dying. Civilians in Gaza need quick and urgent medical aid.”

The disastrous defeat of the Zionists, the death of more than a thousand Zionists and the loss of some settlements and military headquarters, has made the leaders of this regime to target the civilians and innocent people of Gaza many times in recent days and commit war crimes by besieging this strip.

Meanwhile, the Zionist occupiers killed more than 1,000 Palestinians, including hundreds of children, in a criminal act on Tuesday evening (October 17) by bombarding Al-Mu'amdani hospital in the Gaza Strip.

This barbaric action has been widely condemned by Islamic countries, but the Western governments have limited themselves to issuing passive statements in support the Zionist regime. 219
