Tow blasts in northern Iraq kills 4

At least four men were killed in two back-to-back bomb blasts that targeted police convoys in north of Iraq.

Iran Press/ Middle East: Iraqi police source said at least four people were killed and eight others injured on Sunday in two roadside bomb attacks in Iraq's Salahuldin province.

According to Iran Press news agency, the first bomb went off in the morning, near to a vehicle that was carrying passengers, on a main road near the town of al-Shirqat, leaving two policemen killed and six people wounded. The second attack took place 30 minutes later and struck another vehicle when a police force arrived near the site of the first explosion, killing a policeman and a civilian and injuring two more policemen.

Iraqi security forces conducted a search operation, looking for the attackers. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the ISIS terrorists in most cases, have been responsible for such attacks targeting security forces and civilians.

Despite of ISIS  defeat in Iraq in December 2017, remnants of this terrorist group execute some sporadic attacks in different parts of Iraq.

Iraqi Army, security forces and Iraq's Hashd Al-Sha'abi (Popular Mobilization Units) has cleared most parts of the country, eliminating or arresting ISIS terrorists. 212/ 104
