Tehran(IP): In a press conference on Saturday, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) countries will be held in Tehran in June 23 -24.

Iran PressIran news:  The Asia Cooperation Dialogue is an intergovernmental organization created on 18 June 2002 to promote Asian cooperation at a continental level and to ensure coordination among different regional states.

He added: "All powerful Asian countries are members of this forum and cooperate together well."Safari said: "The meeting will be held at the level of experts on Sunday."

The deputy foreign minister also said that about 41 delegations will be present in Tehran, and 25 delegations attend at the foreign ministerial and deputy foreign ministerial levels.

Safari added that the meeting of experts kicks off tomorrow at 9 o'clock and they will work on the statement, and we hope to finalize the statement for Monday and approve it at the meeting of foreign ministers.

Safari called the purpose of holding the summit to bring Asian countries together and added: The summit consists of two parts;

Discussions and project implementation.

He also emphasized: One paragraph of the joint statement of the summit is dedicated to the issue of Palestine and we hope to reach the desired result.

Currently, the ACD comprises 34 countries: Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
