Tehran (IP) - Emphasising that Tajikistan is sending its most important cultural and artistic figures to Tehran, the Tajik ambassador to Iran proposed holding a Tajik Cultural Week in Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Two artistic groups, Ferdowsi and Lal Badakhshan from Tajikistan, traveled to Iran to participate in the 40th Fajr International Theater Festival (FITF), and Tajikistan's Ambassador to Tehran Nizamuddin Zahedi, met with the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour.

Zahedi said that the two countries intend to use the existing capacities to develop Tajik-Iranian relations in all areas.

Imanipour also said: "Iran-Tajikistan relations are long and cultural interactions are always very important for Iran."

The head of ICRO expressed hope that the exchange of cultural and artistic delegations between the two countries would continue, through which excellent relations would be established.
