Iran Press/ Iran news: The archeologists have reached the noticeable findings and have made significant discoveries unprecedented in the central plateau during the excavation procedure in the Ashraf historical hill which had been carried out along the water pipeline.
The findings also include several jar burials, the skeletal remains of a four-year-old horse, Mithraic burial as well as the skeletal remains of a 13-year-old girl who had been buried 10 meters away from the Askahind lady.
Jar burials are human burials where the corpse is placed into a large earthenware and then is interred.
It is said that in the north of the historical hill of Ashraf in Isfahan, there is a possibility of an Ashkanid cemetery.
Isfahan is one of the historical cities in the center of Iran, which is one of the main destinations of Iranian and foreign tourists throughout the year due to the existence of various tourist and historical attractions. 207/216
