Saveh(IP)- Saveh Jame Mosque is one of the historical-religious and beautiful buildings where you can see traces of three historical periods before Islam, the first centuries of the advent of Islam in Iran, and the Safavid era.

The historical city of Saveh in Markazi Province, located on the ancient Silk Road, has captured the attention of many kings and rulers throughout history.

The historical mosque is made of adobe and mud. The building of Saveh Jame Mosque consists of a courtyard and a dome in its southern part, two Iwans, a minaret, several Shabistans (prayer hall), and many old Mihrabs decorated and built with Kufic script.

The turquoise dome of Saveh Mosque, with a height of 16 meters and a diameter of 14 meters, shines like a beautiful gem. The beautiful Iranian architecture, along with the handmade art of turquoise tiling of the dome, has doubled the beauty of the Saveh Great Mosque.

Jame Mosque of Saveh is a valuable legacy in religion, architecture, painting, tiling, and ornamentations, such as plasterwork and Kufic and Thuluth scripts. This historical mosque interests tourists and pilgrims from different Islamic countries.
