Iran Press/ Asia: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will start a two-day visit to Türkiye on Thursday, said an official Turkish statement.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is expected to meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Friday and discuss the prospect of bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of energy and tourism, as well as regional issues, including the resumption of relations between Armenia and Türkiye and the situation in West Asia.
The ministers are also expected to hold a joint news conference on Friday in the capital Ankara.
Issues such as the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Black Sea grain deal, and energy cooperation are expected to be discussed.
Lavrov and Çavuşoğlu are also going to discuss construction of the Akuyo nuclear power plant with the participation of Russia. 219
