Iran Press/ Europe: The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday night regarding the results of the informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries in JCPOA, that the United States should not set any preconditions for returning to the deal.
"We believe that the return of the United States to the UN Security Council should be without preconditions," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to the Tass news agency.
"We along with our partners are ready to work together in this area. We are ready to help Americans move in the right direction," it added.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who was present at the meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries in JCPOA, also said he hoped that not only those at the UN Security Council but also Washington would consider adhering to all of the UN Security Council's commitments. He emphasized that the United States' adherence to UN Security Council Resolution 2231 was not an option but a task.
The informal meeting of the Iranian foreign minister and the P4+1 group (Germany, France, Britain, Russia, and China) ended last Monday with the presence of EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell.
