Russia slams the US actions regarding Hague International Criminal Court (ICC)
Meanwhile, in another tweet, Ulyanov responded to the US warnings to European officials to refrain from criticizing Washington's actions over the Hague International Criminal Court (ICC).
"Intimidation and blackmailing are the characteristic elements of US foreign policy nowadays, including with regard to its own allies. Not always successful. But in any case, this policy spoils and poisons international relations".
The United States has warned that it will impose sanctions on those members of the International Criminal Court (ICC) who investigate citizens of the United States or its allies, including the Israeli regime, not issuing visas to them or their families.
US President Donald Trump issued an executive order on June 11, after which Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a news conference that his country would not allow American citizens to be threatened by what he called a theatrical trial.
The International Criminal Court has condemned the Trump administration’s decision and called It an attack against the interests of victims of atrocity crimes, for many of whom the Court represents the last hope for justice.
The court, which has 123 member states, said in a statement that it stands firmly by its staff and officials and remains unwavering in its commitment to discharging, independently and impartially, the mandate laid down in its founding treaty, the Rome Statute.
