Five locations in Afghanistan are designated to collect votes of Iranian citizens in the 14th Presidential Elections.

Iran PressAsia: Iran's Consul General in Herat, Mohammad Sediqifar, in an interview with Iran Press news agency said: "All the necessary arrangements have been made for holding a grand election, including coordination with the local authorities of Herat to ensure the security of elections."

He added: "In the meetings we had with the local officials of the Taliban, they have declared their readiness for any kind of cooperation to hold the Iranian presidential elections securely." 

The Consul General of Iran in Herat added: "Full notification and invitation of Iranian citizens to participate in the elections has been done through various contacts we have, and we expect to see the participation of about 90% of the citizens living in western Afghanistan tomorrow."

In Afghanistan, in addition to Herat, ballot boxes have been designated at Tehran's embassy in Kabul and Iranian consulates in Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahar, and Jalalabad.
