Iran's President considered the cowardly assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran as a big mistake of the Zionists and expected all Islamic countries and freedom-seeking people of the world to strongly condemn such crimes.

Iran Press/Iran news: Receiving the Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi on Sunday evening, Masoud Pezeshkian referred to the crime the Israeli regime perpetrated in Iran, the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, and stressed that it would not go unanswered.

Thanking the King and the Government of Jordan for the congratulatory message and the wishes for his success in the presidency, Masoud Pezeshkian called the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the new administration of Iran to expand peace, tranquility, and stability in the region and the world.

Pezeshkian emphasized the need for the unity of Islamic countries to stop the aggression and crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine.

The Iranian President also stated that today some are trying to change the place of right and wrong, adding:

"The biggest enemies and violators of freedom, democracy, and human rights, have used all their scientific and operational power in the world to commit assassination and heinous crimes and at the same time they claim to defend freedom, democracy and human rights and label anyone who does not follow them as an enemy of these principles and values."

President Pezeshkian expressed hope that the negotiations of the diplomatic delegations regarding the expansion of relations between Iran and Jordan will be completed faster so that the two countries benefit from each other's capacities, friendship, and constructive cooperation.

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi, for his part, Jordan seeks to expand and deepen relations with the Islamic Republic and pursues joint efforts to establish stability and security.

He said: "Jordan has strongly condemned the brutal aggression of the Zionist regime on Gaza from the very beginning."

Al-Safdi also pointed to his country's condemnation of the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and considered this action to be Netanyahu's attempt to expand the scope of conflicts in the region.
