Islamabad(IP)- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday during his visit to Pakistan, during which Pakistan PM Invited the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to visit the country.

Iran PressAsia: In this meeting, also attended by the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Amir- Abdollahian presented a report on the Memorandums of understanding and agreements made in the negotiations related to political, economic, commercial, security and border issues.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized banking issues, clearing, and gas transmission lines as essential issues between the two countries and stated the firm will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to implement the agreements made during this trip and previous agreements.

In his meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Amir Abdollahian explained the solutions that can develop the economic and commercial cooperation of the two countries within the framework of international law.

In this meeting, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, while welcoming the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, invited the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to visit the country on behalf of the people of Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed his hope that after the developments related to Pakistan's elections, Iran's president will be the first head of state to visit Pakistan.

In this meeting, opinions were also exchanged on various regional and international issues, including the developments in Afghanistan.
