Iran Press/ Asia: TTP in a statement announced the observation of the ceasefire as vital for both sides and added the Afghan Taliban will be playing the role of mediator between them and the Pakistani government.
A month-old armistice will be in effect from Tuesday, November 9 until December 9.
Spokesperson of the Pakistani Taliban Muhammad Khurasani in the statement said that TTP is a "Jihadi group" comprised of all the people of Pakistan and that they have always prioritized the national interests of Pakistan.
Khurasani added that none in the world can deny that negotiations are part of the war.
Earlier, Pakistani ambassador to Kabul Mansoor Ahmad Khan had told Express Tribune that the Afghan Taliban have pledged to be taking military actions against any terror groups who deny negotiations with the Pakistani government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Administration is looking to be taking advantage of their influence on the Afghan Taliban and wants to reconcile with the Pakistani Taliban.
