Tehran(IP)- The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones emphasized that last year, free and special economic zones accounted for one-third of the country's total non-oil exports.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of his press conference on May 8, 2023, Hojjatollah Abdolmaleki in an exclusive interview with Iran Press stated that free zones play several roles in international affairs, one of which is exporting, as Iran has two types of exports in the region, one part of which is free zones' productions, which last year was about 1/07 of billion dollars.

While referring to the second export sector, he said: Another part of exports enters the global economy through the regional gates, and its currency enters the country through official sources approved by the Central Bank.
