Iran Press/ West Asia: On Sunday, the Zionist settlers attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque with the support of the security agents and the soldiers of the Zionist regime on the occasion of the so-called "first day of the Hebrew year".
According to Iran press reciting the Palestinian news agency Sama, the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a statement on Monday called the continuous attacks of extremist settlers supported by the Zionist occupying forces on Al-Aqsa Mosque an insult to the feelings of Muslims and a clear violation of the Geneva Convention and international laws.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation called on the international community to take responsibility and put pressure on the Israeli regime as an occupying force to stop these repeated attacks and aggressions to respect the sanctity of the holy places and preserve the legal and historical status of these holy places.
Earlier, the extremist groups of settlers known as Heikal had called for a massive attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the three Hebrew holidays that began on September 17 (26 Shahrivar) and continued until mid-October.
