Tehran (IP)- On Saturday, the managing director of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) announced that certain foreign nations have expressed interest in collaborating with Iran in the petrochemical industry.

Iran PressIran news: According to Morteza Shahmirzaei, Iran's success in the petrochemical industry has encouraged other countries to collaborate with them and purchase Iranian products, equipment, and catalysts.

Iran has enormous capacities to develop its petrochemical industry, said the NPC CEO, adding, “As Iran's petrochemical industry expands its production capacity and target markets, it's important to focus on creating more value and developing end products. This can be achieved through collaboration with holdings and other petrochemical companies..”

In line with the completion of the value chain, he continued, “By converting polymers and chemicals into supplementary industries' products, we can increase the production of end products and enhance their value. This can be achieved by reducing the sale of raw materials..”

Shahmirzaei referred to an efficient and highly-skilled workforce as one of the main factors of development.
