New York police confirmed that at least 90 people were arrested in the city during last night's protests.

Iran PressAmerica: It's a far lower number than Tuesday night, when at least 280 people were arrested, according to the police.

NYPD Chief of Department Terrance Monahan said the night had been relatively peaceful.

Protesters had gathered in front of the Gracie Mansion in New York City, the official residence of Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The crowd could be heard shouting “black lives matter” as they sit on the ground in front of the mansion.

After 10 tumultuous days across the United States, hundreds of people gathered at a private memorial service Thursday afternoon in Minneapolis for George Floyd, whose death by police has sparked widespread protests against police violence and systemic racism.
